You Are Some Kind Of Weirdo Right?

"You dress in black and perform weird rites or something I bet to summon these things don't you" or "You mess with magic to summon the spirits" or "I bet you worship the devil"

Both these I have heard before many many times.  Yes as it happens I do wear black a lot, though the majority of the time I wear normal clothes, in fact you could pass me in the street and not know that you had done so.  It's the same with most people interested in the paranormal, they are normal.

I don't draw attention to my interests in any field in my normal 9 - 5 life as an office worker, although if you look carefully you will be able to see the signs.  In my leisure time I have been known to dress from top to toe in black but that is my leisure and I will wear what I feel suits the occasion.

I don't perform any rites to summon the spirits to me, if I feel them I feel them, if I see them I see them, if I hear them I hear them.  Let's see who wears black, performs arcane ritual to summon a spirit to a group of people, what sort of mad man would do such a thing?  Oh yes that's right a Christian Minister would!  After all they summon the "holy ghost".

Ok let me make it clear before this blog goes on I was Christian, I am now Pagan, I respect each person's right to believe what they wish but Christianity was not a path I was comfortable on, now that I am Pagan I feel free of the dogma that weighed me down as a Christian.  I do not worship The Devil or Satan. They are both parts of Christianity.  My Gods were around way before the concept of either came into being.  I do not wish to be converted so if you are reading this and hope to convert me, or save me please go in peace.  Follow the words of Matthew 10:14 "Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet."

Please note also that I respect anyone of any path who believes that I have the right as they do to worship my belief freely.
